Breast thermography is a 15 minute non-invasive test of physiology. It is a valuable procedure for alerting your doctor to changes that can indicate early stage breast disease.

The benefit of breast thermography is that it offers the opportunity of earlier detection of breast disease than has been possible through breast self examination, doctor examination or mammography alone.

Thermography can detect the subtle physiologic changes that accompany breast pathology, whether it is cancer, fibrocystic disease, an infection or a vascular disease. Your doctor can then plan accordingly and lay out a careful program to further diagnose and /or MONITOR you during and after any treatment.

Dr. Hillary Smith has maintained an Integrative and Chiropractic practice in Los Angeles since 1985.  In 2006 she trained as a Certified Clinical Thermographer at Duke Medical Center.  She provides high quality Thermography Screenings in Palm Springs at the Art of Wellness.

Jeff Wein is a multi-talented Gemini (Pisces rising, Libra moon), an adult child of the sixties whose explorations of consciousness led him to the ecstatic possibilities of physical intimacy. Jeff has studied Tantra with three of the best-known American masters, and has drawn on these and other sources to create the unique approach and content of « the Loving Spirit » workshop.  Jeff has lead personal growth workshops in three languages on four continents over the last fifteen years.

A childhood spent in beatnik circles and a nomadic existence in Europe, the United States, and the south Pacific, followed by art school (right-brain) did little to prepare Géralde Carpentier  [Libra, Scorpio rising, moon in Aquarius] for a twenty-five year career as a corporate executive (left-brain). The common thread in her rich and tumultuous life is her passion for that extraordinary experience we call Life, for personal growth, and for a connection with powerful subtle energies, passions that led her to Tantra.

Together they lead « the Loving Spirit » workshop, a transformational experience for couples who want to create deeper, richer, more intimate relationships.  Over the course of three full days, Jeff and Geraldine teach dozens of techniques, exercises, and activities that help couples overcome disharmony in order to create relationships where true intimacy (physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual) is the goal and the outcome.  Over the past ten years, primarily in Europe, « the Loving Spirit » workshop has helped hundred of couples rekindle love and respect in their relationships.

In the winter of 2009 and the spring of 2010, « the Loving Spirit » workshop will make its American debut.  Jeff also leads « letters of fire », the Hebrew letters and the Kabbalah, a personal growth workshop that explores an ancient mystical tradition with the intent of relating age-old wisdom to the challenges of life in the 21st century.

Jim has two doctoral degrees and years of clinical experience to bring his clients to the place of optimal health.  He works under the principal that when specific nutritional deficiencies are corrected, the body will begin to heal itself.  Jim utilizes Nutritional Response Testing, Whole Food Supplementation, Herbs and Homeopathic Remedies along with other Alternative Health Care Methods to lead his clients towards a healthier, happier, and improved quality of life. He will help you to see beyond the nutritional myths and will provide you with a plan for appropriate food intake.  You will be put on the path to a better quality of health with essential whole food nutritional support which goes beyond your daily food intake.

Many Americans fall into the category referred to by Jim as the "functionally ill" which is described by Jim as those individuals who follow no particular food guidelines.  We simply eat what is considered to be the Standard American Diet.  Our habitual style of food consumption leads us into a slow and progressive decline in our health status and degenerative diseases.

TV advertises countless prescription solutions for health related disorders.  Marketers encourage the use of drugs for pain and arthritic problems, acid indigestion or reflux conditions, elevated cholesterol and inflammation.  We see numerous commercials hosted by celebrities promoting weight loss products, digestive aids and more. Millions of dollars are spent on marketing these substances, because, as Americans, we eat the Standard American Diet and as a result, we have health issues.  We take drugs to mask our nutritional deficiencies which are expressed as symptoms.

Fat is an essential body building block yet, in the media, we are exposed to statements about the need for fat restrictions and fat free foods. In the meantime, we watch America getting fatter and less healthy with more lives suffering from stroke, high blood pressure, diabetes and other degenerative diseases.    Natural or Alternative Health Care has long understood that “Good Nutrition Equals Great Health".  Given the proper raw materials, our body has the innate capability to heal itself.

Jeralyn Brossfield, MD, FACOG

Dr. Brossfield's interest in medicine began while working in a small clinic with her parents in Sudan. There, although in very poor conditions, women valued health and beauty. In thatched-roof huts there were brightly colored curtains. In the pre-dawn chill, women would wait for hours with their children for a visit with the doctor. The realization of the common experiences of women everywhere was key in Dr. Brossfield's desire to educate and care for women in her career.

Dr. Brossfield completed medical school and a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Loma Linda University. She received honors for her comprehensive care of patients and for exceptional teaching of residents and students training with her.

In November of 2002, working with Dr. Lisa Lindley, Dr. Brossfield opened Rancho Mirage Women's Health Center. She values most the relationship developed with each person believing that this team approach is pivotal to creating individualized and comprehensive care for each patient.

"I feel honored to work with women to increase their understanding and acceptance of their bodies and health. This is the most rewarding part of my work!"

Lisa Lindley, MD, FACOG

Lisa Lindley, MD, is a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist. She obtained her medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine, where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha for academic excellence. Dr. Lindley also completed her residency training at Loma Linda Medical Center where she continues to serve as a guest faculty member.

Dr. Lindley's interest in medicine actually began as patient. Her experience, and the physician who cared for her, had such an impact on her life that she entered medical school to pursue a career in women's health. With a first-hand understanding of the opportunities that a caring physician has to guide her patients to better health, Dr. Lindley entered medical school with the dream of doing just that. She now combines her own experiences as a patient, physician, wife, and mother with the knowledge she has gained treating thousands of women, specializing in the issues surrounding menopause and perimenopause.

"I truly enjoy the time spent with my patients, and I’m committed to a work environment that gives patients the time they need. I believe the doctor/patient relationship allows a unique opportunity for care and healing."

Dr. Stec earned her MD at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Postgraduate training included general surgery, radiation oncology and internal medicine. She then worked for the Riverside San Bernardino Indian Health clinics, where she learned the tremendous importance of preventive health care.

In 1994 she opened a private practice of Internal Medicine for Women, focusing on disease prevention and wellness enhancement. In order to empower more people with accurate health information, she and Dr. Jack Deller created the weekly health education TV program “Dr. Talk with Jack and Rita,” which was broadcast in the Coachella Valley from 1997-2002.

In 2003, she organized a community health seminar, “Are Your Hormones Screaming to Be Heard?” providing accurate, up-to-date information about using hormones as part of healthy menopause management. Subsequent seminars included human nutrition from an anthropological perspective, and the importance of nutrition in cancer prevention and treatment.

Dr. Stec continues her private practice of “Women’s Wellness” in Palm Desert, CA. She is the author of "Women's Home Health Companion," a handbook with practical & concise information for wellness enhancement.

Lorraine’s food is flavorful and super clean. From her fabulous soups, salads, wraps and smoothies helps keep your bodies fueled with the best nutrition.

How it Happened
.
There is no mystery to healthy eating. My answer is organic, whole foods in their natural form, as close to nature as possible. I came to that realization, like many people do, because at the age of 24, I was diagnosed with a life threatening illness, breast cancer.

>b>Taking Action

What I changed about my eating was everything from the M.A.D. / S.A.D. diet I was raised on (Mexican-American-Diet/Standard-American-Diet), supplemented with heavily processed “junk” foods common in modern American diets. I began educating myself on organic, whole foods. The importance of an organic whole foods diet became evident to me, it became my way of life.
